What People's Community Clinic Inc does
Mission
The mission of people's community clinic is to improve the health of medically underserved and uninsured central texans by providing high quality, affordable health care with dignity and respect.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Programs
In 2024, people's served more than 21,000 patients by providing high quality healthcare and wrap-around support services. In early february, the clinic transitioned to a new electronic medical record system. Following go-live, staff worked diligently to adjust to the new system, strengthen its data analytics capacity, and streamline work flows to maximize care. Additionally, people's developed plans to expand its pediatric and women's health service lines (expected to reach completion in 2025) to help meet the growing demand for accessible medical care in central texas. And notably, the clinic partnered with austin urban technology movement hq (autmhq) to begin delivering weekly digital skills classes onsite. Staff observed first-hand the importance of digital literacy and the positive impact this work will have on many patient families.
$23,598,464 spent$15,587,600 earned by the program66% of program spendingPeople's center for women's health offers a robust menu of services ranging from providing prenatal care, supporting new mothers through the post-partum period to annual well-woman exams, preventing unintended pregnancies, , and, diagnosis of and treatment for various medical conditions, and multiple preventative screenings. People's prioritizes providing patient-centered care and fosters a team-based approach to how it delivers services. Clinic staff across departments work in close collaboration to ensure all aspects of a patient's health are considered and they are connected to all available resources to meet their needs. The effectiveness of the clinic's programs and care is evident in the positive health outcomes seen among patients compared to state-wide measures and evaluative feedback. In 2024, 7.89% of babies born to clinic patients had a low birth weight compared to 8.72% state-wide and 8.85% among other federally-funded health centers of similar size to people's.

The program expanded in 2022 and moved into a dedicated pod within the main clinic building. Today, the fully-staffed dental team serves patients through seven operatories and is currently at full operating capacity. In 2024, people's dental program served 3,752 patients through more than 9,200 visits (compared to 1,972 patients and 6,152 dental visits in 2023). The program offers both basic dentistry and expanded services such as endodontic, prosthodontic, and restorative dental care to help address issues compromising patients' quality of life. Expanding access to preventative dental care is a critical need among the clinic's patient population as most patients experience significant barriers accessing dental care. . Importantly, people's offers restorative procedures that other local federally qualified health centers do not. Without people's, these patients would likely forego addressing their dental needs as their options are limited locally through other community health centers and cannot afford private sector out-of-pocket prices. The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.

Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $38M to $44M (+17%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.

Who funds it, year by year
2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 25 funders to 35 funders, grant income rose $5.9M → $8.9M.
17 of 77 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 14% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

How concentrated its funding is
PEOPLE'S COMMUNITY CLINIC INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 63% of grant income and the top three 85%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
94% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund PEOPLE'S COMMUNITY CLINIC INC.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2017 78% · 2018 55% · 2019 31% · 2020 78% · 2021 80% · 2022 81% · 2023 75% — diversifying over time.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How long its funders stay
50% of PEOPLE'S COMMUNITY CLINIC INC's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 71% give in more than one year at all.
Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.
Where its funders are
98% of PEOPLE'S COMMUNITY CLINIC INC's grant income comes from Texas funders.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $7.4M arriving through sponsors registered in 12 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
