01What it does

What Family Promise of Fulton County Inc does

Mission

Family promise of north fulton/dekalb's mission is to engage community and faith based organizations in ending homelessness one family at a time. We provide temporary assistance, hospitality and case management for families with children experiencing homelessness.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

  1. 2024 family promise accomplishmentsthe three-pronged strategy of prevention, emergency response, and rotational shelter is demonstrating our commitment to not only addressing immediate needs but also fostering long-term stability for families.our prevention program prevented 96 families from homelessness, prevention before it starts, especially for families with children is crucial. The emergency response assisted 2,233 families through a volunteer-driven hotline. Having real people available for support and navigation is a key element to bringing our community together. Our rotational shelter engages congregations of all faiths and volunteers with no overhead to the families and we served 14 families in 2024. Our families then have a seamless transition to the stabilization program. For families who graduate is a vital component in ensuring they maintain stability.most recently we embarked on a transitional house project with st. David's episcopal church. We spent 2024 raising the funds to remodel the home for 2 families at a time. These families will be paying rent on a sliding scale. We look forward to serving our first families in mid-2025.

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 2 funders to 10 funders, grant income rose $7k → $71k.

6 of 20 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 41% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of FAMILY PROMISE OF FULTON COUNTY INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

FAMILY PROMISE OF FULTON COUNTY INC has a broad base — no single funder exceeds 13% of grant income, and it takes 5 funders to reach half.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 5 funders to its left

64% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund FAMILY PROMISE OF FULTON COUNTY INC.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $125k arriving through sponsors registered in 5 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
