01What it does

What Rescue 1 Global does

Mission

Rescue 1 Global seeks to create a culture of change by educating communities and agencies concerning the complexities of slavery and human trafficking so that they can identify the red flags as they go about their daily lives. We seek to equip and mobilize communities to combat and respond to slavery and human trafficking through Prevention, Rescue, and Restoration programs. We seek to partner and collaborate with Law Enforcement Agencies and other Non-Government Organizations to obtain and provide resources. We seek to open and start Grace Oasis, Rescue 1 Global Restoration Facilities, offering aftercare programs in every community we serve.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. During 2025, Rescue 1 Global continued to strengthen its Prevention, Rescue, and Restoration programs and expand services for individuals impacted by human trafficking, exploitation, and trauma. R1G provided 3,529 bed nights of safe housing through its residential restoration program, providing survivors with stability and access to individualized advocacy, case management, safety planning, healthcare coordination, and community resources. Throughout the year, R1G also strengthened partnerships with law enforcement, healthcare providers, housing organizations, social service agencies, and other community partners to improve coordination and access to resources. The organization continued developing Grace Oasis as a safe and supportive residential environment where survivors can work toward healing, stability, and independence. Through these efforts, R1G continued building the organizational capacity and community partnerships necessary to provide lasting pathways from survival to restoration and Freedom for Life.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 3 funders to 6 funders, grant income rose $9k → $48k.

7 of 22 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 70% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of RESCUE 1 GLOBAL’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 21 of 22 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

RESCUE 1 GLOBAL leans on a few funders — its largest provides 44% of grant income and the top three 61%; half comes from just 2 funders.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left

87% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund RESCUE 1 GLOBAL.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. How long its funders stay

27% of RESCUE 1 GLOBAL's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 50% give in more than one year at all.

Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.

Where its funders are

70% of RESCUE 1 GLOBAL's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $142k that is directly attributable, 64% of it comes from funders outside Tennessee, across 8 states.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $339k arriving through sponsors registered in 7 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
