Program
Educational programs and facilities: the association of graduates serves as the foundation which secures philanthropic support from individuals, foundations and corporations to provide additional funding support to the u.s. Military academy at west point ("usma") and the army west point athletic association based on the needs established by usma superintendent. Included in this support is funding for the construction of facilities and enhancements to support usma, a national historic landmark. These funds are also directed towards academic programs that enrich the cadet experience with an array of diverse opportunities to augment the core curriculum. Overall funding, provided from private sources, helps to secure usma's position as one of the preeminent colleges in the country. In addition, the association of graduates is the alumni association for west point graduates, known throughout history as the "long gray line."
