Mission

Building a world that realizes the boundless potential of all people.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Programs

On its FY2023 return the organization reported starting a significant new program.

Due to a corporate restructuring at the beginning of 2023, primary care, dental, psychology, and psychiatry services were transferred from boundless health, inc. To I am boundless, inc. To consolidate all programming in one entity.

Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 2).

  1. At boundless, we take great pride in providing high-quality residential services to adults with developmental disabilities. We understand the importance of home, and we're here to support and empower the people we serve to make the most of their home experience every day. By using their io waivers, the individuals we serve at home can receive staff visits as needed for as little as one hour a week, to round-the-clock care. Our dedicated team of professionals help with a wide range of activities, including personal hygiene, money management, shopping, housekeeping, cooking, community outings and more. A significant part of our residential program, the parent directed program (pdp) at boundless offers one-of-a-kind, in-home residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities who either live with or adjacent to their family members. We understand the importance of family involvement and we work closely with families to ensure the best care possible. At boundless, we believe in the power of partnership and support. Through the pdp program, boundless serves over 1,000 individuals and their families each month, providing over 1-million service hours throughout the year,…

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2018 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 12 funders, grant income rose $11k → $788k.

9 of 28 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 44% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of I AM BOUNDLESS INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

I AM BOUNDLESS INC has a broad base — no single funder exceeds 30% of grant income, and it takes 3 funders to reach half.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 3 funders to its left

56% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund I AM BOUNDLESS INC.

Largest funder’s share by year: 2018 100% · 2019 100% · 2020 38% · 2021 36% · 2022 80% · 2023 72% — diversifying over time.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How long its funders stay

38% of I AM BOUNDLESS INC's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 57% give in more than one year at all.

first grant+1y+2y+3y

Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $1.1M arriving through sponsors registered in 4 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
