Ymca youth development - our ymca is committed to nurturing the potential of every child and teen. We believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. That's why we help young people cultivate the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, and educational achievement. Our ymca programs - such as mentor on the move, teen ready to work, all day child care, after school care, day camps residential camp and middle school activities offer a range of experiences that enrich cognitive, social, physical, and emotional growth. In 2025, we provided $221,523.50 in direct financial assistance that makes participation possible for the children we engage. Since 1858, the jamestown family ymca, as an organization, has dedicated itself to the development of strong kids, strong families and strong communities and views programs that provide positive activities for kids during out of school time as an important part of our mission. In 2025, we engaged approximately 7,000 members, participants, and volunteers in activities that strengthen our community and pave the way for future generations to thrive.
