  4. The semper fi racing team was established in 2016 and in 2025 we were able to provide children of gold star families, wounded/injured veterans, and disabled first responders the oppoprtunity to participate in the sport of quarter midget racing. Volunteers associated with the huntsville quarter midget association (www.hqma.org) and generous donors enabled these children to participate in a really fund sport that builds self-confidence, sharpens awareness and motor skills, and exposes them to the principles of engineering and physics that go into the race cars. We are all aware of the sacrifices made by our military members and first responders and while we are thankful for their sacrifice sometimes, we don't think of the effect this has on the children. Our mission is engaging children after the loss of a parent or having a parent disabled that can't do the things with their children that they would love to do but can't because of their physical limitations. The primary goal of semper fi racing is to demonstrate to these families that we are forever indebted to them for their sacrifice and to remind them that they are not alone. 03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 6 funders, grant income rose $1k → $10k.

4 of 12 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 64% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of SEMPER FI COMMUNITY TASK FORCE’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

SEMPER FI COMMUNITY TASK FORCE leans on a few funders — its largest provides 56% of grant income and the top three 82%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

72% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund SEMPER FI COMMUNITY TASK FORCE.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. How long its funders stay

43% of SEMPER FI COMMUNITY TASK FORCE's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 42% give in more than one year at all.

Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.

Where its funders are

64% of SEMPER FI COMMUNITY TASK FORCE's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $47k that is directly attributable, 75% of it comes from Alabama funders.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $83k arriving through sponsors registered in 4 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
