Peer health exchange's mission is to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and resources to make healthy decisions. We do this by training college students to teach a skills-based health curriculum in under-resourced high schools across the country.

Program
Peer Health Exchange Inc.'s mission is to build healthier communities with young people. Together, we create education opportunities for peers to share the tools and resources young people need to make healthy decisions. The organization's vision is to, with its partners, advance health equity and improve outcomes for all young people. With our school-based work, college-aged young people are trained to teach a comprehensive health curriculum in public high schools that lack health education. Since 2004, the organization has worked with more than 230,000 young people, across the country, to build healthier communities. (see schedule o.)in addition, the organization has developed a comprehensive set of digital tools, including a web application and presence on various social media platforms, to meet young people where they are and provide access to the resources and communities, they need outside the school setting. Since 2021, the organization has reached over 500,000 young people digitally via their mobile and web app known as "selfsea".
