What Legacy Charities Inc does
Mission
Legacy charities' mission is to provide life saving surgeries and a loving home to orphans with special needs from around china and vietnam, expanding further into southeast asia.
As stated on its FY2022 Form 990.
Program
Program service accomplishments: legacy charities, inc, aka new day charities 990 report for 2024 new day china 1.savannah project - 20 children in-orphanage projects each of our in-orphanage projects are an oasis. A green place located in a dry area. An oasis of hope underground streams - aquifers, feed every oasis. The role of many of us has changed from providing a home to providing an aquifer - an underground stream whose influence is barely seen, but it is very powerful. From the sponsors to the local team and specialists who support and the local community who encourage - they are all links in the underground stream that is making life spring up in the desert. We need to keep these streams strong, clean, fresh, open, and flowing strongly. There has been a lot of pressure, but the pressure of an underground stream contributes to its purity. The vision of new day china is to transform the lives of orphans with special needs. Our strategy to accomplishing that involves three key roles: "care-givers are the people interacting with the children all the time and their impact on the children's lives is the greatest. We believe that, more than any other person in the child's life,…

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2018 to 2019, from $245k to $611k (+149%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
100% of LEGACY CHARITIES INC’s revenue is contributions — more donation-reliant than the typical peer (100% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 2 funders to 4 funders, grant income rose $9k → $186k.
8 of 9 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of LEGACY CHARITIES INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
LEGACY CHARITIES INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 71% of grant income and the top three 85%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund LEGACY CHARITIES INC.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2017 99% · 2018 100% · 2019 52% · 2020 96% · 2021 100% · 2022 92% · 2023 92% — diversifying over time.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How long its funders stay
50% of LEGACY CHARITIES INC's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 67% give in more than one year at all.
Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.
Where its funders are
100% of LEGACY CHARITIES INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $100 that is directly attributable, 100% of it comes from funders outside Texas, across 1 state.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $1.0M arriving through sponsors registered in 8 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
