Program

  1. Summary of direct charitable activities - 2025 Keepers of Hope: meeting needs, restoring dignity, and spreading hope in 2025, Keepers of Hope continued its mission of serving the community by supporting nonprofit organizations and agencies through three distinct, yet deeply interconnected, avenues of assistance. 1. Hope requests: compassionate responses to specific needs throughout the year, Keepers of Hope responded to 146 hope requests from 75 nonprofit partners and social service agencies across the region. These requests often involved essential, life-improving items such as work boots, feminine hygiene products, toiletries, space heaters, clothing, bedding, and durable medical equipment. Regular requests came from hospitals, rehabilitation specialists, and organizations serving individuals with disabilities. In situations where the need extended beyond a single item, Keepers of Hope provided specially curated "blessing packages" designed to help individuals navigate life transitions with dignity. In 2025, multiple comprehensive care packages were delivered, including: a.the first step - for individuals establishing a new home, often following homelessness or crisis. B.the…

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2020 → 2023: the base narrowed from 2 funders to 1 funder, grant income fell $31k → $17k.

1 of 5 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 36% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of KEEPERS OF HOPE’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 4 of 5 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

KEEPERS OF HOPE leans on a few funders — its largest provides 42% of grant income and the top three 96%; half comes from just 2 funders.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left

36% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund KEEPERS OF HOPE.

Largest funder’s share by year: 2020 82% · 2022 100% · 2023 100% — growing more concentrated.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

KEEPERS OF HOPE draws 67% of its grant income from funders outside Texas, across 2 states in all.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $52k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
