Mission

To elimate substandard living conditions and address the challenges of housing affordability by providing hardworking families with the opportunity to own safe, affordable homes.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Housing program - pahh builds new single family housing. The homes are sold to families at cost with a zero percent first mortgage with payments that do not exceed 30% of household income. Each loan is structured based on the particular family's needs and may include a silent second loan and/or a shared equity agreement due only upon the sale of the home. Families go through an education process to prepare them for the journey to home ownership. Families are required to provide sweat equity by participating in the building of their home or other homes being constructed by pahh. Additionally, pahh provides some repair services for low-income individuals in the community to ensure their homes are safe and maintained. (cont. Sched. O)building and maintaining homes relies on a strong volunteer team. Volunteers from churches, businesses and the community at large are a vital part of the program and work along side skilled contractors and construction supervisors in building all homes.pahh has completed over 100 homes since 1989 and has a goal for 2026 of five familites in five new homes.

  2. Restore - pahh operates restore, a retail store that sells good quality used building materials to the public. Open five days per week, restore's mission is two fold: first, to provide lower-income individuals with access to quality building materials at prices far below other retail stores and second, to preserve the environment by keeping usable building materials out of the local landfills. Restore sells a wide variety of products including building materials, appliances and furnishings. All items sold in restore are donated by individuals and businesses in the community.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 2 funders to 7 funders, grant income rose $13k → $69k.

5 of 13 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 35% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 3 funders to its left

74% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is.
