01What it does

What Camp Quality USA Inc does

Mission

Our mission is to let kids with cancer be kids again by establishing and sustaining community-based camping and year-round support and activities for children with cancer and their families. These programs, offered without charge, provide opportunities for fun and innovative experiences; offer settings in which trained and caring volunteers are present as friends and confidants; and enhance widespread networks of public support, sensitivity and understanding.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. Camp quality usa provides no-cost, medically supervised camp experiences and programming for children with cancer and their families because when a child is diagnosed, the entire family is affected. In 2025, camp quality usa hosted weeklong overnight summer camps at 16+ locations across 13 states, serving over 500 children and their families. Beyond summer camp, we offer year round programming including teen weekends, family overnights, sibling retreats, and reunion events designed to give children the chance to simply be kids, and to give parents (much needed respite) and families the space to breathe, connect, and find community with others who truly understand their experience. All programs are provided at no cost to families. Camp quality usa is committed to ensuring every child living with cancer can experience the magic of simply being a kid and every family deserves to feel seen, supported, and never alone.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 11 funders to 13 funders, grant income rose $281k → $463k.

12 of 54 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 11% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of CAMP QUALITY USA INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 30 of 54 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

CAMP QUALITY USA INC has a broad base — no single funder exceeds 34% of grant income, and it takes 3 funders to reach half.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 3 funders to its left

83% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund CAMP QUALITY USA INC.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. How long its funders stay

35% of CAMP QUALITY USA INC's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 57% give in more than one year at all.

Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $415k arriving through sponsors registered in 12 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
