01What it does

What Westminster Christian Academy does

Mission

Westminster Christian Academy honors jesus christ by providing an excellent education, rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the westminster confession of faith, for the children of christian parents. Faculty and staff enable students to discover and embrace a biblical view of the world and integrate that view into every area of life.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. Westminster Christian Academy seeks to prepare and equip young men and women to engage the world and change it for jesus christ. We are an excellent academic institution with an outstanding curriculum. With a comprehensive selection of courses, including advanced placement and honors classes, we offer a highly competitive academic program that encourages the development and application of christian character.we strive to be excellent stewards of the resources that god provides for our students by offering need-based financial aid. Westminster does not offer any academic, fine arts, or athletic scholarships. Our financial aid program is intended to help close the gap between the amount a family can afford and the cost of a westminster education. We expect every family to contribute some portion of their student's tuition and additional school expenses.we take many factors into consideration when determining a family's ability to pay tuition, including income, assets, general living and medical expenses, financial obligations, number of dependents, and ages of parents.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 16 funders to 19 funders, grant income rose $325k → $897k.

21 of 48 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 59% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of WESTMINSTER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 30 of 48 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

WESTMINSTER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY has a broad base — no single funder exceeds 28% of grant income, and it takes 4 funders to reach half.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 4 funders to its left

64% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund WESTMINSTER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. How long its funders stay

46% of WESTMINSTER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 52% give in more than one year at all.

Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.

Where its funders are

59% of WESTMINSTER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $2.3M that is directly attributable, 52% of it comes from funders outside Missouri, across 9 states.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $3.3M arriving through sponsors registered in 14 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
