01What it does

What Three Angels Children's Relief Inc does

Mission

Three angels children's relief is a ministry that serves orphans and at-risk families in haiti. Our mission is to help children in haiti escape poverty so that they may experience god's love, become part of a healthy home, and grow into who they are called to be. Our approach involves serving both orphans and at-risk families with programs aimed at sustainable change. Our vision is that every child in haiti would have the opportunity to live in a healthy christian home either in haiti or abroad.

As stated on its FY2026 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Angel house orphanage: after 14 years of reopening, a total of 41 children have gone home, and 10 children are currently in our care, 2 of which have major medical challenges. We have added advanced/challenging toys, building kits, and puzzles for the older children in our care, as well as attendance at our school. Skilled orphanage staff regularly tutor school-age children to empower them to succeed at school. Continuing education for staff has included attachment techniques, working with abandoned and/or traumatized children, self-care, health, and stress management. Our resident social worker keeps hands-on staff up to date with care techniques and addresses trauma and development in these children, providing enriching activities to promote emotional health and dexterity. Staff has gone above and beyond during times of local gang violence, altering their schedules and sacrificing time with their own families, to protect and care for the children we serve.

  2. Three angels christian academy: the school has educated 318 students from preschool through 9th grade this school year. The secondary scholarship program has provided scholarships for 64 students, grades 7-philo (13th and final year of high school), including 44 inhouse (grades 7-9) and 20 in partnering high schools (grades 10-philo). Our ninth generation of students graduated high school this last month (june 2026). Although food prices continue to rise, we serve hot, nutritious lunches to all inhouse students each school day. Our resident social worker provides ongoing training for our teaching staff to identify and address trauma in the students we serve as well as designing enriching activities to sharpen critical thinking skills, reading comprehension, healthy social interaction, and cooperative activity. Furthermore, he has counseled our pto on positive support and interactions with our student body to promote overall healthier children, inside and out, who are better equipped to make the most of their education opportunity and have a better chance at a productive future.

  3. Medical clinic: over the last year, our clinic had over 5,200 patient visits. For all 318 of our students, daily multivitamins are provided while school is in session, and well-child exams were conducted and included dental exams and vision exams, as well as referrals and follow up when warranted, and twice annual deworming medications. The clinic remained open all year despite continuing gang violence. We continued our partnership with another local clinic to expand services and areas of expertise, ultrasound checks, lab specialists, and an ophthalmologist to conduct weekly exams at our clinic.

The 3 programs described on its FY2025 Form 990, listed largest first by expense. Program spending in total: $635,794.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2019 → 2023: the base broadened from 2 funders to 6 funders, grant income rose $11k → $447k.

7 of 15 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 72% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of THREE ANGELS CHILDREN'S RELIEF INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 14 of 15 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

THREE ANGELS CHILDREN'S RELIEF INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 68% of grant income and the top three 96%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

72% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund THREE ANGELS CHILDREN'S RELIEF INC.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. How long its funders stay

50% of THREE ANGELS CHILDREN'S RELIEF INC's funders are still giving 2 years after their first grant; 47% give in more than one year at all.

Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.

Where its funders are

72% of THREE ANGELS CHILDREN'S RELIEF INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $1.2M arriving through sponsors registered in 7 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
