01What it does

What The Habonim Camp Association Company Incorporated does

Mission

Commonly known as Habonim Dror Camp Moshava or simply Camp Moshava, the organization empowers Jewish campers to build a just world through a fun, meaningful summer experience.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

On its FY2025 return the organization reported starting a significant new program.

In 2025, Camp Moshava launched two new programs, a B Mitzvah cohort serving campers in 7th grade as they prepare for their B Mitzvot, and Bonimot Tzedek, a program for 8-11 graders to engage with social justice and local service projects.

Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 2).

  1. SUMMER CAMP - Description: Since 1935, Camp Moshava has annually provided an educational, overnight-camp experience in June, July and August for Jewish youth. A seven-week residential camp, this program is for campers ages 7 to 17. Campers learn about social justice, community and inclusion through experiential education. They leave camp with a more established sense of self and an understanding of their Jewish identity. Camp Moshava is one of six Habonim Dror camps in North America. Accomplishments: In 2025, we provided a vibrant and inclusive summer-camp experience for over 160 campers.

  2. YEAR-ROUND - Description: This program allows our campers to connect throughout the year. It features Jewish-holiday celebrations as well as other social events. Programs are offered once a month. Accomplishments: We continue to provide well-attended and meaningful events for all in the community.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 3 funders to 6 funders, grant income rose $45k → $81k.

7 of 12 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 52% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of THE HABONIM CAMP ASSOCIATION COMPANY INCORPORATED’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

THE HABONIM CAMP ASSOCIATION COMPANY INCORPORATED leans on a few funders — its largest provides 31% of grant income and the top three 73%; half comes from just 2 funders.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left

98% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund THE HABONIM CAMP ASSOCIATION COMPANY INCORPORATED.

Where its funders are

52% of THE HABONIM CAMP ASSOCIATION COMPANY INCORPORATED's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $347k arriving through sponsors registered in 5 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
