Mission
We are the practical application of identity transformationnot just theory, just not abstraction, but hands-on experience where young people discover capability in real time. When a young person says "I can't cook," they're not talking about skillsthey're talking about identity. That belief becomes a barrier to health, confidence, and possibility. We use food to help young people discover they're capable, worthy, and powerful during the years when identity is still forming. Because when someone shifts from "I can't" to "I am," everything changes.

First full form 990 filing - Kind Kitchen Group surpassed 100,000 in annual revenue for the first time, triggering the organization's first full 990 return and marking a major threshold of organizational maturity in year three. Moved into a dedicated facility - the organization secured and moved into its own physical space at 2634 durham chapel hill blvd, suite 105, durham, nc 27707, establishing a permanent home for programming, test kitchen operations, and community gatherings for the first time since founding. Launched first adult programming - cook n' book club, an adult literacy, social-emotional learning, and culinary experience centered on black women authors, debuted in partnership with daughters coffee and books. The inaugural session sold out within one week. Annual operating budget grew to 139,750 for the young cooks society program alone, with total organizational revenue exceeding 100,000 - up from approximately 30,000 in fy24 and 719 in fy23.
