Mission
Kalamazoo valley gleaners, inc. Is a non-profit organization committed to addressing global hunger through gleaning - the recovery of surplus produce from local farms and food distributors that would otherwise go to waste. The collected produce is then processed through a volunteer-driven production operation, during which it is washed, chopped, dehydrated, and packaged into shelf-stable meal kits. These meals are distributed exclusively overseas, through partnerships with established international relief agencies, to reach malnourished individuals and communities in need.

We sent 3 shipments of approximately 1 million servings of dehydrated produce to liberia, honduras and uganda. This food is distributed to schools, orphanages and refugee camps. 3.6 million servings packaged - with the help of our incredible volunteers, we were able to package over 3.5 million servings of dehydrated fruits and vegetables
