We are a charitable organization dedicated to building a healthy spirit, mind, and body. Part of a world-wide movement, we put christian principles into practice through programs that promote good health, strong families, youth leadership, community development, and international understanding. Ymcas are open to men, women, and children of all ages, incomes, abilities, races, and religions.

Healthy living. In 2025, the hamilton area ymca had over 205,000 visits across its facilities and community programs, showing a strong impact on community health and wellness. Participation included people of all ages, including 1,129 older adults, 835 teens, and more than 10,500 total members and program participants. These programs aim not only to boost physical health but also to reduce social isolation, improve mental well-being, and foster a more connected community.a key focus of this work is water safety and life skills development. In 2025, the ymca provided 1,990 swim lessons, including 250 offered at low or no cost to ensure accessibility regardless of financial means. Additionally, 88 adaptive swim lessons were offered, broadening access for individuals with diverse abilities. These efforts directly improve safety, confidence, and fair access to essential skills.
