What Exoduslife does
Mission
Exodus.life exists to reduce drug and alcohol related recidivism in the state of arkansas through pre-release education and equipping, transitional peer support and recovery to post release family reunification and community restoration.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Programs
Exodus.life continues to be one of the first funded rco (recovery community organizations) in the state of arkansas. Through our rco, exodus.life reduces the corresponding community stigma associated with substance abuse disorder and justice involvement through educating the public, engaging community partners, advocating to policy makers, and the use of technology. Exodus.life provides peer recovery support services to individuals and their families who are struggling with these challenges, assisting them as they become purpose driven, productive, and stable members of society. Through the rco, exodus.life provides many recovery groups and pro social events that allow individuals in recovery to build positive, stable community connection.

Exodus.life facilities classes utilizing a faith based 12 step model, biblical principles, as well as cognitive behavior and rational emotive behavior therapy to provide a well rounded education in order to promote healthy living. These services are voluntary to the individuals who participate, and exodus.life utilizes many community volunteers to begin to build positive, purpose driven connections and relationships for when these individuals are released from their facility back into the community.
Exodus.life secured a subgrantee position as the service provider to the jefferson county sheriff's department. Under this program justice involved adults and juveniles in jefferson county, arkansas are provided with peer led education and support and also have access to licensed substance abuse recovery services. Individuals in these programs are educated on developing an enterpreneurial mindset, 12 step recovery, resiliency, and mindfulness in order to foster a holistic healing and mindset shift towards stability and recovery.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2019, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2019, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2021 to 2022, from $36k to $320k (+801%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2019 17% · 2020 74% · 2021 27% · 2022 28% · 2023 62% · 2024 34%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
40% of EXODUSLIFE’s revenue is contributions — more earned-revenue than three-quarters of its peers (94% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 3 funders, grant income rose $4k → $32k.
3 of 7 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 20% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of EXODUSLIFE’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
EXODUSLIFE leans on a few funders — its largest provides 34% of grant income and the top three 80%; half comes from just 2 funders.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left
Largest funder’s share by year: 2017 100% · 2018 100% · 2019 100% · 2020 72% · 2021 42% · 2022 62% · 2023 62% — diversifying over time.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of EXODUSLIFE's grant income comes from Arkansas funders.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $70k arriving through sponsors registered in 3 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
