What East New York Clt Inc does
Mission
Enyclt is an organization of community leaders and activists dedicated to preserving affordability for future generations and providing a vehicle to create generational wealth. Enyclt seeks to own land and lease the land to the owners of the buildings and other users on the land.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Programs
On its FY2024 return the organization reported starting a significant new program.
Due to the purchase of 248 arlington avenue in 2024, and the financials of arlington being consolidated into enyclt, this added a new program that was not applicable in 2023.
Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 2).
Enyclt's programming aims to protect, stabilize, and expand the stock of affordable homes, locally-owned small businesses, and green spaces in east new york and brownsville, to benefit low to moderate-income black, indigenous, and people of color (bipoc) residents. The enyclt will acquire land and lease it for developments/projects that will benefit all residents, such as affordable housing, gardens, community centers, etc. Enyclt will ensure that the community maintains control through its democratically elected governing board made up of local residents. Enyclt purchased its first property in early 2024 at 248 arlington avenue, and formed 248 arlington avenue, llc ("arlington"), to hold the property. Enyclt is the sole member of arlington. Collectively, enyclt and arlington are referred to as the "organization."
$155,717 spent28% of program spendingArlington's purpose is to hold the 248 arlington property acquired in 2024. Arlington's activity to lease and maintain the property, is a new program of enyclt. The property was fully leased at the time of purchase.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2022, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2022, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $1.8M to $3.9M (+115%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2024 67%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
67% of EAST NEW YORK CLT INC’s revenue is contributions — more donation-reliant than the typical peer (37% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
2022 → 2023: the base broadened from 3 funders to 10 funders, grant income rose $37k → $599k.
8 of 24 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 40% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

How concentrated its funding is
EAST NEW YORK CLT INC has a broad base — no single funder exceeds 16% of grant income, and it takes 5 funders to reach half.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 5 funders to its left
64% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund EAST NEW YORK CLT INC.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2022 54% · 2023 29% — diversifying over time.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
71% of EAST NEW YORK CLT INC's grant income comes from New York funders.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $734k arriving through sponsors registered in 7 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
