01What it does

What Applegate Partnership Inc does

Mission

Promote ecosystem helath across the applegate watershed thro ugh education & restoration carried out in ptrship w/ landow ners, agencies & other interested parties contributing to th e local economy & community.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Aquatic: cheney creek tributary culvert placement - in 2025 apwc replaced an aging, perched culvert on a tributary to cheney creek, restoring access to important off-channel habitat used by coho salmon and steelhead during high flows. The new embedded culvert allows for natural streamflow and fish passage year-round, and improves connectivity in an area that supports some of the most active spawning habitat in the applegate watershed.

  2. Applegate outdoor school (aos)- is a day-only program located at cantrall buckley park in ruch, oregon. In april 2025, we hosted sixth graders from the medford school district's hedrick middle school in weeklong sessions of outdoor, inquiry-based learning. Hosting 350 students over the course of four weeks, we had the highest daily attendance in program history.

  3. Upper applegate all-lands wildfire resiliency project - over the past two years the project has supported private landowners across the applegate valley with wildfire risk mitigation through mechanical fuels treatments. This project was borne out of funding from the odof small forestland grant and has been supplemented w/ additional funding from a us forest service su stainable n.w grant. To date, 185 acres have been treated for fuels, w/ 822 hazard trees removed and processed, and efforts will continue in 2026. As the result of a request for proposal period, fuels reduction management company burnbot has been selected to carry out treatments going forward. This project represents how landowner outreach and engagement can lead to partnerships that create landscape level wildfire risk reduction.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 3 funders, grant income rose $5k → $24k.

3 of 10 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 10% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of APPLEGATE PARTNERSHIP INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

APPLEGATE PARTNERSHIP INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 39% of grant income and the top three 86%; half comes from just 2 funders.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left

97% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund APPLEGATE PARTNERSHIP INC.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. How long its funders stay

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $95k arriving through sponsors registered in 3 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
