What Wingfield Ministries Inc does

Mission

As god enables, we will invest in strategic partnerships that leverage our purposeful ministry, the lodestar mountain inn, lodestar guidance, victory weekend, and our international/africa ministries; restore those damaged by life; and equip the next generation of leaders. As servants of christ, we use the best means possible to connect multiple generations with god's love and empower them to follow jesus.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Lodestar mountain inn is a retreat center to provide a place of healing, hope, encouragement, rest, recovery, and training for those who are wounded or discouraged by the battles of life. The inn hosted several retreat events during the year, and many individual and group stays. The inn, on 500+ acres of pristine mountain property, was built and dedicated as premier accommodations for the task of encouraging and strengthening ministry leaders, evangelists, veterans, and first responders. We do this through christ-focused meetings, seminars, and personal and group retreats. Additionally, we host ministry partners, business leaders, and church affiliated groups desiring an exceptional facility for purposeful ministry.

This innovative program is designed to teach key character principles and is readily applied to businesses, schools, churches, and families. The 48 principles, such as accountability, trustworthiness, sincerity, and integrity, teach participants how to live and lead effectively. Lodestar guidance is primarily focused on discipleship and intentionally builds character.

  4. Wingfield ministries, inc. Is dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and historical understanding through immersive educational experiences. While the ministry's planned holy land tours were previously postponed due to regional conflict, we are pleased to report a successful resumption of these vital programs. In 2025, the ministry officially resumed its holy land pilgrimages, conducting two successful tours in march and october. These expeditions provided participants with the unique opportunity to travel to the locations "where faith began," offering deep scriptural insights and historical context. Despite the challenges of previous years, the ministry remains committed to connecting individuals with the foundational roots of their faith through these transformative journeys. The costs of these trips are passed on to the tour participants. The organization held evangelistic events at local community venues. These events present the evangelistic message of jesus christ from a mobile platform to non-believers and believers in a very casual setting. We promote fellowship in communities and cultivate an atmosphere where individuals are open to hearing and receiving the good news of…

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 5 funders to 9 funders, grant income fell $82k → $68k.

10 of 22 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 82% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of WINGFIELD MINISTRIES INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

WINGFIELD MINISTRIES INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 56% of grant income and the top three 76%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

95% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund WINGFIELD MINISTRIES INC.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. How long its funders stay

33% of WINGFIELD MINISTRIES INC's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 59% give in more than one year at all.

Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Where its funders are

82% of WINGFIELD MINISTRIES INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $359k that is directly attributable, 95% of it comes from funders outside Virginia, across 11 states.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $1.7M arriving through sponsors registered in 9 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
