What Triskelion Arts-Kick-Standance Inc does
Mission
Triskelion Arts has a two-fold mission as a 501(c)3, non-profit organization: To foster the development and presentation of the performing arts by providing quality, affordable, accessible rehearsal, class, and performance space to the general public and to provide opportunities to the arts community, including resident companies, for the creation and presentation of new work. Our two major programs are affordable rehearsal, class, and performance rentals and co-production of 30 or more companies/year in addition to three festival and our Split Bill series.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Program
Triskelion Arts has two core activities:The Rental Program and Triskelion Arts Presents Productions. The Rental Program provides affordable rehearsal, class, and performance space to the general public for predominantly works of dance and theater, comedy, circus, variety arts, and fitness. In 2024, over 20,000 hours were rented out or granted to artists for such purposes between our 4 rehearsal studios (1 of which convert to blackbox-style theaters). The current renter base is well over 2500 rental contract signers and countless participants accompanying each signer. In 2024, Triskelion Arts presented shows (running 2-4 nights each) from 220 artists through 15 original productions, presenting 30 artists and their collaborations, all in the 68-seat Muriel Schulman Theater. The Triskelion Arts Presents program provides participants with our theater facilities, technical staff, front of house management, publicity assistance, and ticketing services at no cost and, in most cases, artists receive a 50% of the box office. There were over 2200 Triskelion Arts Presents audience members in 2024.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2022 to 2023, from $208k to $1.1M (+434%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2022 27% · 2023 17% · 2024 23%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
50% of TRISKELION ARTS-KICK-STANDANCE INC’s revenue is contributions — about as donation-reliant as the typical peer (64% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 4 funders, grant income rose $18k → $71k.
3 of 10 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 14% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 3 funders to its left
Largest funder’s share by year: 2017 100% · 2018 100% · 2020 100% · 2021 100% · 2022 56% · 2023 42% — diversifying over time.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How long its funders stay
100% of TRISKELION ARTS-KICK-STANDANCE INC's funders are still giving 1 year after their first grant; 50% give in more than one year at all.
Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Where its funders are
84% of TRISKELION ARTS-KICK-STANDANCE INC's grant income comes from New York funders.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $40k arriving through sponsors registered in 3 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
