Programs
Therapy programs - physical / occupational, and speech therapy - our therapists integrate hippotherapy into our patients' plan of care, along with other therapy tools and strategies. The term hippotherapy refers to how occupational, physical, and speech-language therapy professionals use evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning in the purposeful manipulation of equine movement. This serves as a therapy tool to engage sensory, neuromotor, and cognitive systems to promote functional outcomes. Equine-assisted physcotherapy - this program is an emerging field in which horses are used as a therapeutic tool for emotional growth and learning. Sessions will be facilitated by a licensed mental health counselor and an equine specialist in mental health and learning.
