The southeastern connecticut community land trust (se ct clt) is a membership-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that holds land for the development and stewardship of permanently affordable housing, land for food production, green space, and facilities for community organizations. Se ct clt works to support access to affordable home ownership, advance community development, promote social justice, and further neighborhood revitalization across southeastern connecticut.

Affordable homeownership - we hold land in trust for permanent affordable homeownership.community property ownership - we hold land in trust for the varied land based community based needs identified by partners who are on the ground working in tandem with the community. During the fiscal year, we developed a proposal and secured funding (loans) for our second house (46 gorton st. Nl) acquisition in september of 2023. The goal of the project is to provide an affordable four-bedroom homeownership opportunity for a family in the community to whom it would otherwise be out of reach.in september of 2023, we were also able to obtain a loan and acquire 530 hartford rd, salem. The goal is for ceiba arbor to become stewards of the property and re-establish the land as a small working farm. This is in line with our mission of holding land in trust for food production. We made a number of connections and presentations to potential partner groups including rotary, connecticut college, avalonia land conservancy, all souls and clcc.
