Program

On its FY2024 return the organization reported starting a significant new program.

On february 21, 2024, pursuant to the terms of an asset purchase agreement, the organization acquired certain assets of carestarter technologies, inc. And its subsidiary, for an aggregate purchase price of $4,000,000, to expand the organization s offerings and customer base. The acquisition was accounted for as a business combination using the acquisition method of accounting in accordance with asc 958-805, business combinations (not-for-profit entities). The purchase consideration consisted of cash totaling $4,000,000. The excess of consideration paid over fair value of the identifiable net assets relates to goodwill. Goodwill consists of the value associated with the assembled workforce, processes in place and the synergies expected to be achieved.

Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 2).

  1. The organization contracts with state and federal agencies through sourceamerica and workquest. The income and jobs from these sources are then used to provide training, education and employment opportunities to disabled individuals.

How concentrated its funding is

PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT SERVICES INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 93% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT SERVICES INC.
