What Gynuity Health Projects Inc does

Mission

Gynuity health projects works to develop and advocate for the use of scientific, clinical and programmatic evidence in reproductive and maternal health, assuring that each individual benefits from the fruits of medical science and technology.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

This year, we published several new journal articles summarizing completed studies, including one in the united states testing a new online program to determine eligibility for medication abortion that uses a self-completed questionnaire, and another conducted in public sector facilities in nepal evaluating the potential of an outpatient…

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 2 funders to 3 funders, grant income fell $2.4M → $232k.

2 of 12 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 15% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $1.3M arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
