What Grove Park Renewal Inc does
Mission
Grove Park Renewal seeks to provide a quality living experience for neighborhood residents and empower those who desire to connect with and contribute to the community and participate in the renewal process in Grove Park.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Programs
Grove Park Renewal Inc. is devoted to revitalizing the Grove Park community by providing high-quality, affordable housing to low-income and distressed individuals and families. Our mission extends beyond housing; we actively work to build a supportive community by fostering connections among residents and linking them to essential social services, creating a foundation for constructive, positive relationships within the neighborhood. In 2023, we expanded affordable housing options to meet the growing needs of the community. After purchasing the Villas of Hope in 2022, we began full operations in 2023, adding 36 apartments to our affordable housing portfolio. We also renovated a house, converting it into a rental property. Altogether, our properties now provide secure, affordable housing for 144 residents across the Grove Park community. Grove Park Renewal manages 62 affordable housing units, the vast majority of which are reserved for households earning 60% or less of the area median income (AMI). We also continue to support sister nonprofits by managing their affordable housing units, ensuring efficient and compassionate service to Grove Park's low-income population.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2020, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2020, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2022 to 2023, from $7.1M to $11M (+53%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
15% of GROVE PARK RENEWAL INC’s revenue is contributions — about as donation-reliant as the typical peer (37% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
2020 → 2023: the base broadened from 5 funders to 7 funders, grant income rose $40k → $551k.
4 of 16 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 12% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of GROVE PARK RENEWAL INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 15 of 16 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
GROVE PARK RENEWAL INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 36% of grant income and the top three 64%; half comes from just 2 funders.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left
62% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund GROVE PARK RENEWAL INC.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2020 25% · 2021 40% · 2022 36% · 2023 54% — growing more concentrated.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How long its funders stay
25% of GROVE PARK RENEWAL INC's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 38% give in more than one year at all.
Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.
Where its funders are
GROVE PARK RENEWAL INC draws 74% of its grant income from funders outside Georgia, across 7 states in all.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $105k arriving through sponsors registered in 3 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
