What Genius Map does
Mission
Genius' primary exempt purpose is to provide comprehensive academic and social-emotional support to students and families to empower them as community leaders and essential components of their children's success. Our largest program services include our individualized, competency-based academic enrichment program, Genius MAP, which serves 120 third grade students at Huffman Academy with a mission to nurture academic potential, identify purpose, and foster passion through mastery, autonomy, and purpose. We also offer a 4-week summer program, Camp Fire, serving 80 students with math, reading, and social-emotional learning. In addition, we provide weekly in-person round table discussions with students to deliver lessons that strengthen social-emotional growth year-round. Our objectives are to provide students with the skills and tools they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, and to support parents as leaders and partners in their child's education.
As stated on its FY2022 Form 990-EZ.

From the IRS filings of GENIUS MAP’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
GENIUS MAP leans on a few funders — its largest provides 33% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 2 funders.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left
33% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund GENIUS MAP.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2021 100% · 2022 75% — diversifying over time.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
