Mission

CRCKY offers wraparound support to individuals and families negatively impacted by immigration issues. CRCKY's legal clinic provide legal assistance with immigration issues, while the social work department helps clients handle difficult life situations. Support service include food deliveries, helping the family remain intact by issuing US passports for children, assistance obtaining social security cards, bus training referrals, medical/mental health referrals, and referrals to domestic violence programs as needed.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

On its FY2025 return the organization reported a significant change in how it conducts a program.

Food Distribution - The food distribution program has been greatly reduced in 2025. We still distribute food but do not have the large in kind contributions that we had in 2024.

Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 3).

  1. Food distribution - An important part of providing wraparound care to people is ensuring that they have food. With this in mind, CRCKY's partnership with Woodhill International Market and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints provided free fresh food to clients who could not otherwise afford it. Our partnership with Woodhill International Food Market supplied bi-monthly fresh from the farm fruits, vegetables, meat, and eggs to families in need, simultaneously supporting local farmers.

  2. Social Work and Passport Program - CRCKY provides wraparound care to immigrants in Kentucky as they work their way through the complicated US immigration system. Support services include social work services, interpretation services, clothing, referrals to medical and mental health treatment, access to furniture and household goods, cell phones, bus training referrals and legal documents such as passports. Whenever possible, direct assistance is provided to clients, and when that is not possible, clients are referred to other agencies which can assist them. CRCKY's passport program ensured US citizen children of immigrant parents received passports. Parents were also assisted with completing Special Power of Attorney forms to ensure they had a designated custodian to care for their children if they weren't able to do so themselves.

    $78,716 spent
    38% of program spending
  3. Legal Assistance - CRCKY believes every immigrant deserves the right to have affordable, quality legal representation for their immigration cases. CRCKY's immigration lawyer and Department of Justice Accredited Representatives offered legal services on sliding scale fee. The majority of our clients were either unemployed or had an income 100% or less of the Federal Poverty line, which means most were seen at no cost to them.

Who funds it, year by year

2020 → 2023: the base held at 3 funders, grant income rose $20k → $67k.

4 of 5 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 93% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of COMMUNITY RESPONSE COALITION OF KENTUCKY INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

COMMUNITY RESPONSE COALITION OF KENTUCKY INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 70% of grant income and the top three 95%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

93% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund COMMUNITY RESPONSE COALITION OF KENTUCKY INC.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Where its funders are

93% of COMMUNITY RESPONSE COALITION OF KENTUCKY INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $25k that is directly attributable, 100% of it comes from funders outside Kentucky, across 1 state.

CO

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $358k arriving through sponsors registered in 4 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
