Mission

Angels' Place offers an environment of love and compassion, coupled with an atmosphere of acceptance, dignity, friendship and the potential for personal growth and independence. We are a christ-centered community that enhances the lives of those we serve and their families by providing loving homes and professional support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We train and/or assist with all aspects of adult daily living including personal grooming, housekeeping, meal preparation, employment and recreation. The enrichment program serves individuals during the weekdays that are unemployed or under-employed, and provides an opportunity to develop, maintain and enhance skills that will assist them with improving their employment readiness, living independently, contributing to their community in a meaningful way, and living a happy and fulfilled life. 03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 19 funders to 37 funders, grant income rose $419k → $1.3M.

18 of 88 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 23% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of ANGELS' PLACE’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 30 of 88 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

ANGELS' PLACE has a broad base — no single funder exceeds 11% of grant income, and it takes 7 funders to reach half.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Michigan out of state home

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $1.6M arriving through sponsors registered in 14 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
