The Hawn Foundation dba the goldie hawn foundation (the ''foundation'') is a California tax exempt nonprofit corporation. The foundation's signature program, mindup (''mindup''), is a neuroscience-based curriculum that fosters the development of mental fitness and mental well-being of children ages 3-14. Founded in 2003, the mindup program has been helping children develop the cognitive, social, and emotional skills necessary to thrive in school and in life. Mindup is an evidence-based, accredited universal primary prevention program that fosters the development of children's mental fitness and wellbeing. Mindup provides sequenced skill-building lessons that are grounded upon four pillars: neuroscience mindful awareness practice, social-emotional learning (sel), and positive psychology. Together, these pillars provide a framework to help individuals develop the knowledge and skills necessary to increase attention, well-being, and social and emotional competence.
