Programs
A silence so loud, is an installation featuring works by artist tuan andrew nguyen, johann diedrick, jeremy dennis, and sim chi yin, presented at tiger strikes asteroid (tsa-ny)in brooklyn, new york, co-curated by tao leigh goffe and cecile chong. Part of the curatorial vision of the two nyc- based artists who collaborate under the name broken china, the group show marked the first of an ongoing series of multi-sensorial activations on the topic of what colonialism fractures. The second activation in the series took place by invitation of the metropolitan museum of art, and the third at the calabash international literary festival in jamaica (may 2025). Founded to explore histories fragmented under colonialism, the creativthe materiality of art that engages with the archival process. The gallery exhibition threaded together military histories of shinnecock nation, jamaica, british malaya, morocco, and vietnam, collectively addressing the weight of imperial violence, what is left unsaid, and the ethics of who that disinherits.

In los de aqui, morales explored belonging, identity and familial resilence across the guatemalan diaspora by reflecting on the quiet strength found in the everyday lives of his extended family(aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.), who live throughout the u.s. Through paintings that incorporate soil and roots collected from their homes and the land they inhabit, morales affirmed their right to belong, thrive, and define life on their own terms. Reclaiming the phrase ni de aqui, ni de alla'-"neither from here, nor there"- the exhibition asserted:we are from here, too. Morales blended personal geopraphy with everyday moments-family meals, parties quiet routines-to affirm presence and connection. Los de aqui honored personal identity familial memory, celebrating the radical act of living fully beyond borders and binaries.
La/b-la-m/ fantasma jointly curated by the art spaces guadalajara90210, hilbertraum ( berlin) and tiger strikes asteroid (los angeles), the exhibition fantasma was part of the b-la-m program, which took place in mexico city from october 23 to november 7, 2025. Fantasma explored what exists just beyond the surface of what we perceive as real. Whether it is the lingering presence of the past, spiritual echoes, or inexplicable glimpses into something deeper, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on how the unseen shapes our world. The idea un fantasma is taken in its broadest sense-a ghost, yes, but also flickers of memory, strange dreams, and the delicate line between perception and imagination. The exhibition included works by guadalupe salgado (mx), catalina barroso luque (mx), mariana dussel (mx), surge witron (la), shane mecklenburger (la), fatemeh burnes (la), jynx prado (la),ricardo harris-fuentes (la), carlbaratta (la), anita kurcharczyk (la), elaine deelaine (b), kuno ebert (b), eva schwab,(b) anke volk (b), deborah wargon (b), claudio wichert (b), clemens wilhelm (b), and daniel wiesenfeld (b), and was organized by alma saladin. The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2021 to 2022, from $55k to $81k (+47%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.

Who funds it, year by year
2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 3 funders, grant income rose $2k → $35k.
1 of 10 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 0% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

TIGER STRIKES ASTEROID INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 46% of grant income and the top three 85%; half comes from just 2 funders.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left
Largest funder’s share by year: 2017 100% · 2018 100% · 2019 71% · 2020 83% · 2021 55% · 2022 82% · 2023 86% — diversifying over time.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How long its funders stay
40% of TIGER STRIKES ASTEROID INC's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 60% give in more than one year at all.
Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.
Where its funders are
70% of TIGER STRIKES ASTEROID INC's grant income comes from New York funders.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $135 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
