01What it does

What The Little Opera Theater of Ny Inc does

Mission

The little opera theatre of ny (lotny) explores unchartered corners of music both old and new. Our mission is to strip the artifice from opera and create intimate experiences to reconnect with the music, the performance, and the story. Little and opera do not often go together. We use scale to make opera more approachable to a new public, while challenging experienced operagoers and performers to think differently about the medium.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $31 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
