What Sidexside Inc does
Mission
At sidexside, we get to stand next to individuals who have experienced barriers in life and need to earn higher income for their families, such that they can maintain housing stability and pursue economic self-sufficiency. We're a bridge to what already exists. We simply get to connect the pieces by standing side-by-side with the community.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Program
Participants in the career training and placement service program spend nine-weeks receiving intensive power skills training from ten plus local and national curriculum partners. During this time, each participant is embedded in one of our local partners for a curated "earn & learn" dynamic, allowing them to put elevated skills to real world practice while the employer can assess these skills and the possibility of a long-term fit. 2024 outcomes from this program include: 69 people served with a ratio of 31% black/african american, 10% hispanic/latino, 4% native american, 44% caucasian/white, 1% asian, and 10% mixed race. 89% of participants received state benefits upon entry, 89% struggled to pay monthly bills upon entry, 86% had difficulty paying rent upon entry, and 58% reported food insecurity upon entry. The program ended with an 85% graduation rate with 81 community referrals into the program, 355 education certificates earned, and a 92% career placement rate out of the program.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2023, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2023, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $74k to $515k (+597%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2023 83% · 2024 70%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
99% of SIDEXSIDE INC’s revenue is contributions — more reliant on donations than three-quarters of its peers (16% for the typical peer).
