01What it does

What Redemption Rescue Inc does

Mission

To save the forgotten, abandoned, sick and injured animals while helping our community prevent unwanted litters.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. The organization's primary program service is rescuing and caring for forgotten, abandoned, sick, and injured animals while supporting the community in preventing unwanted litters. Redemption Rescue pulls animals from Indiana-based shelters with urgent dogs and cats in need, including abused animals requiring behavioral support and medical cases that need experienced foster care. The organization also educates the community on the importance of spay / neuter and proper veterinary care for all animals. Redemption Rescue collaborates with other local rescue groups by providing funding and foster support, helping expand lifesaving efforts across the region. During 2025, the organization rescued, provided medical care and foster placement, and successfully placed 250 animals into permanent adoptive homes. Since its founding eight years ago, the organization has facilitated 1455 total adoptions, reducing animal homelessness, improving animal welfare, and promoting responsible pet ownership within the community.

Who funds it, year by year

2019 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 4 funders, grant income rose $1k → $1k.

3 of 11 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 92% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of REDEMPTION RESCUE INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

REDEMPTION RESCUE INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 64% of grant income and the top three 92%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

92% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund REDEMPTION RESCUE INC.

How long its funders stay

50% of REDEMPTION RESCUE INC's funders are still giving 2 years after their first grant; 36% give in more than one year at all.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $49k arriving through sponsors registered in 3 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
