What One Hundred Miles Inc does

Mission

One Hundred Miles, Inc. is a publicly supported conservation organization that protects Georgia's coast through advocacy, education, and community engagement. We build support for the protection of Georgia's coast through educational programming, media work, and our organization's communication efforts. We are successful because, through our work, people understand the value of coastal Georgia's unique environment and how they can help to protect it.

Who funds it, year by year

2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 9 funders to 27 funders, grant income rose $376k → $808k.

11 of 53 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 12% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Left out of every figure on this page: $864k from 4 payers (the payer shares this organization's board, largest Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation Inc). These are real filings, and they are not money One Hundred Miles Inc raised.

Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $716k arriving through sponsors registered in 10 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
