Programs

  1. Youth services nlfa takes a three-pronged approach to our youth services program 1. Case management we work with youth to support them with family challenges job readiness and personal and family needs including creating native language programs so they can communicate with their family members. 2. Our juvenile services program is designed to provide support to children who are at-risk of entering into the juvenile justice system. We do this with referrals to our youth prevention and intervention program parent and family engagement and community outreach and advocacy. We collaborate with douglas county and other agencies for youth at risk of getting involved in dependency and delinquency proceedings and provide home visit services for youth who interact with the juvenile justice system. 3. We also work to connect youth from the south sudanese community with other existing programs such as educational help sports and cultural programs. As a result of our work parents youth and families feel empowered and have the knowledge and skills to work with at-risk youth. Young people are also able to connect with programs that connect them with their culture and keep them active.
