More than food is a coaching service aimed at tackling food insecurity upstream. Our coaches use a motivational interview approach to get to know their clients, set goals to create greater stability in their lives, and identify strengths as well as opportunities for greater support and development. They have vast knowledge on community resources, connecting their clients to other services within the community that will aid on the path towards their client's goals.
Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 2).
The market is a "safe & healthy food pantry" which means we highlight and prioritize healthy food options for our guests. Guests shop at the market with the guidance of one of our friendly volunteers, selecting food based on household size. Our feeding america partnership means guests have access to familiar products from sam's club, walmart, and target and allows us to serve the need here in our community. We partner with marathon county hunger coalition and local farms to source high quality produce seasonally. Another unique aspect that differentiates our pantry from others is our swap framework. Swap, which stands for supporting wellness at pantries is a stoplight nutrition system used in food pantries to help our guests choose healthier foods. It ranks food items as green (choose often), yellow (choose sometimes), and red (choose rarely) based on their levels of saturated fat, sodium, and added sugars, nutrients linked to increased chronic disease risk. The goal is to simplify nutrition information, empower guests to make informed decisions, and encourage the donation of healthier foods. In 2024 we served 22,338 people with healthy, nutritious food! In addition, 2,470 of…

The babies' place provides diapers, period products, and basic needs to caregivers of babies and toddlers. We also provide baby formula, baby food and beautiful hand made blankets and knitted hats to families visiting for the first time. The community support for this program continues to grow. Diapers and other basic needs are not eligible for any government assistance, in addition, in wi, these products are more costly than in other states due to the "luxury tax" otherwise known as the "pink tax". By providing these valuable resources to families in need, we are helping them to put food on the table and balance other necessities. At the end of 2024, we served a total of 1,357 households ,with diapers and basic needs. We are also members of the national diaper bank network which provides us with cost saving opportunities for diapers as well as promotional materials to build awareness for our programs and advocacy tools to bring awareness to diaper need in our community. . In 2024 we also really started to look beyond diaper need and focus on period poverty, helping families that are…

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2019 to 2020, from $1.3M to $1.8M (+40%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.

Who funds it, year by year
2017 → 2023: the base broadened from 6 funders to 18 funders, grant income rose $130k → $268k.
6 of 35 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 34% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of NEIGHBORS PLACE INC THE’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 30 of 35 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
NEIGHBORS PLACE INC THE has a broad base — no single funder exceeds 25% of grant income, and it takes 3 funders to reach half.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 3 funders to its left
51% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund NEIGHBORS PLACE INC THE.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2017 58% · 2018 46% · 2019 49% · 2020 49% · 2021 42% · 2022 20% · 2023 23% — diversifying over time.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How long its funders stay
59% of NEIGHBORS PLACE INC THE's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 69% give in more than one year at all.
Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.
Where its funders are
80% of NEIGHBORS PLACE INC THE's grant income comes from Wisconsin funders.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $707k arriving through sponsors registered in 6 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
