What National Council of Asian Pacific Islander Physicians does
Mission
The National Council of Asian Pacific Islander Physicians mission is to provide a national voice for physicians who serve the diverse Asian, Pacific Islander and Native Hawaiian communities within the United States. It provides avenues for physicians who care for these communities to educate policy makers, inform communities, and develop partnerships with other organizations and stakeholders to improve access to high quality, affordable health care that is culturally appropriate and multilingual. It also identifies areas that require more research and study to identify preventable components that result in health disparities of Asian, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian communities.
As stated on its FY2026 Form 990-EZ.
Program

Its activities includes educating the broader medical community of the health issues facing these communities, promote the development of policies that improve the care of the underserved APINH community, and develop leadership opportunities for physicians in these areas throughout their career. It also provides education and outreach to multilingual and multicultural API communities regarding health and medicine. Findings will be disseminated in the following year. In addition, it organized an educational webinar looking back at the challenges and commitment of Japanese American physicians during their internment during WW II. NCAPIP provided support for Native Hawaiian physicians to continue their research and education regarding health hazards associated with climate change. In addition, in…

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.

Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $193k to $250k (+30%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
