Programs
On its FY2022 return the organization reported a significant change in how it conducts a program.
On May 22, 2023 the Board of Directors of Limbitless Solutions Inc ("the Corporation") met to vote on the dissolution and decertification of the Corporation as a direct support organization of the University of Central Florida ("the University"). Under the guidance of University leadership, it was approved to dissolve and decertify the Corporation and transition the operations to the UCF Research Foundation and the University's research enterprise. The University's Board of Trustees approved and confirmed the dissolution and decertification of the Corporation in a meeting on June 29, 2023, to be effective June 30, 2023. This transition allows for the continued pursuit of the Corporation's mission and vision with the goal to provide assistive disability technology across the country and eventually around the world. The Corporation's student scholar program that is home to over fifty undergraduate students from the University will continue to grow as the organization continues to expand its reach. The Corporation donated its equipment to the University in furtherance of this mission. In accordance with the Corporation's governing documents, the remaining assets were distributed to the University of Central Florida Foundation, Inc.

DESIGN OF BIONIC ARMS FOR CHILDREN: Limbitless Solutions was established as a direct support organization of the University of Central Florida to research, design, create, and deliver mechanical and electronic advancements in disability technology, infusing engineering with artistic design. Limbitless creates personalized, creative, and expressive 3D-printed prosthetics for children with limb differences using electromyographic (EMG) technology. Limbitless works closely with each child and their families, combining art and engineering to make an arm personalized to them, so that each bionic arm created is a reflection of a bionic child's personality. For example, Limbitless collaborates with each child to customize the sleeve design of the child's bionic arm with the goal of reflecting the personalities and interests of each child. Through these expressive bionics, the organization hopes to empower confidence in each child wearing a bionic arm. To help bionic children adapt to their new prosthetic, Limbitless creates fun and immersive video games. The video games use the arm's EMG technology as a controller to help the children gain comfort and skill using their bionic device.…

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2018, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2018, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.

How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.

Who funds it, year by year
2019 → 2023: the base broadened from 2 funders to 5 funders, grant income rose $26k → $290k.
5 of 12 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 12% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of Limbitless Solutions Inc’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
Limbitless Solutions Inc leans on a few funders — its largest provides 64% of grant income and the top three 84%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
79% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund Limbitless Solutions Inc.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2019 77% · 2020 48% · 2021 66% · 2022 76% · 2023 88% — growing more concentrated.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How long its funders stay
29% of Limbitless Solutions Inc's funders are still giving 3 years after their first grant; 50% give in more than one year at all.
Share of funders still giving k years after their first recorded grant, pooled across every acquisition cohort. A funder counts as retained in a year only if it made a grant that year. Measured to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving — a funder cannot be counted as lapsed in a year most filers have not reached.
Where its funders are
83% of Limbitless Solutions Inc's grant income comes from Florida funders.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $79k arriving through sponsors registered in 5 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
