GALLERY EXHIBITION,In 2024, Liberty Arts presented nine broad-ranging community exhibitions providing our community with access to new works of contemporary art. The gallery offered participation opportunities, an invitation to submit work and to curate special shows of local interest. These included an open call exhibition welcoming all types of textile art highlighting the artistic perspective of local artists with 43 submissions. A second open call, Patterns in Nature, featuring work inspired by nature, had 69 submissions. A third open call, Avgolemono, was exclusive to members of the gallery and featured work from 35 local artists. Our inclusive slate of shows throughout the year highlighted 2 different exhibitions featuring experimental abstracts in different media by renowned local artists, a culturally diverse mask exhibition, paintings from contermporary artist, Finley Fryer and Associates, and sculptures and paintings by two career gallery artists and octogenarians. Perhaps our most unique show was Interactive Sensory, where eight artists provided gallery experiences to appeal to all senses. Our non-profit gallery recorded 1,484 visitors to these events, with free…

They have time for independent viewing and then walk to our dedicated studio to create an art piece related in technique to the exhibition theme. The docent-tour and hands-on-project opportunities are provided free of charge. Our outreach also included an additional 391 students in the county's most remote regions of dorris and tulelake, with a group up to 8 artists making the 150 miles round trips to bring explorations art to all students in these remote schools. Projects included printmaking, color mixing studies, sculpting, mask-making, illustration and fiber-art.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2020 to 2021, from $21k to $55k (+159%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 4 of the last 8 reported years ran a deficit.
Who funds it, year by year
2018 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 3 funders, grant income rose $5k → $32k.
3 of 5 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 55% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of LIBERTY PAINTING CORPORATION’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
LIBERTY PAINTING CORPORATION leans on a few funders — its largest provides 53% of grant income and the top three 98%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
55% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund LIBERTY PAINTING CORPORATION.
Largest funder’s share by year: 2018 100% · 2019 100% · 2020 68% · 2021 53% · 2022 60% · 2023 62% — diversifying over time.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
55% of LIBERTY PAINTING CORPORATION's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $138k that is directly attributable, 83% of it comes from California funders.
In-state vs out-of-state, by year
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $167k arriving through sponsors registered in 3 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
