01What it does

What Joseph P Addabbo Family Health Center Inc does

Mission

The organization operates freestanding diagnostic and treatment centers, licensed under article 28 of the nys health law, located in the boroughs of queens, brooklyn, and new york. The center provides a broad range of health services to a largely medically underserved population.

Program

  1. The organization's program is that of providing primary health care services including the grant revenue from the ryan white program. This is done under the direct supervision of the federal government, department of health and human services (hhs),and health resources and services administration (hrsa). A significant number of our visits are provided at a deep discount and in many instances free. Because of our fqhc status we are not allowed to turn away patients, therefore, we are reimbursed for these losses by a grant from the federal government and charity care grant from the new york state department of health.

1 of 8 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 0% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

Left out of every figure on this page: $253k from one payer (the payer shares this organization's board, largest Addabbo Center Future Home Inc). These are real filings, and they are not money JOSEPH P ADDABBO FAMILY HEALTH CENTER INC raised.

Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

JOSEPH P ADDABBO FAMILY HEALTH CENTER INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 53% of grant income and the top three 99%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

99% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund JOSEPH P ADDABBO FAMILY HEALTH CENTER INC.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $271 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
