What Jack L Weaver PTA does

Mission

Jack L Weaver PTA exists to promote student welfare and enrichment at Jack L. Weaver Elementary School. All funds raised are used for this purpose.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. Jack L Weaver PTA is a dynamic parent volunteer organization who supports the students and teachers at Weaver Elementary School. The PTA supports academic and art enriched programs such as the annual STEAM fair, Meet the Masters art program, Pacific Symphony Class Act music program, and Imagination Machine writing program. In addition, we embrace unity through our community programs such as Carnival, Ice Cream social, family movie nights, an annual talent show, Summer Jam, and fifth grade activities and promotion assembly. Our biggest fundraiser is our JogAThon that supports our programs financially as well as brings forth a community of volunteers to cheer on our runners. Weaver PTA strives to be inclusive of all students and their families in participating in each of our programs and activities. We support our veterans with a special Veteran's flag ceremony and our First Responders with a special Red Ribbon flag ceremony. We support our incoming Kindergartners before school even starts so our youngest students will have familiar faces on their first day of school. All in all, Weaver PTA is a community driven organization that celebrates the learning and development of each…

1 of 5 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 44% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of Jack L Weaver PTA’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

Jack L Weaver PTA leans on a few funders — its largest provides 45% of grant income and the top three 96%; half comes from just 2 funders.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left

44% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund Jack L Weaver PTA.

Largest funder’s share by year: 2020 100% · 2022 100% · 2023 96% — diversifying over time.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $3k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
