01What it does

What Immigrant Hope WyomingIdaho does

Mission

Immigrant Hope Wyoming/Idaho is a non-profit organization located in Jackson, Wyoming that has been approved by the U.S. Department of Justice to offer honest, low-cost legal advice and representation in U.S. immigration law.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. Immigrant Hope-Wyoming/Idaho provides expert legal guidance and representation for Naturalization, Green Cards, DACA, and other immigration benefits. In 2025, the organization served 134 individuals through two distinct levels of service. The first level consists of comprehensive Legal Screenings and Consultations. In 2025, 67 individuals received these screenings to determine their eligibility for immigration benefits. For these individuals, our staff provided vital information on their immigration options, offering clarity even when no immediate path to a benefit existed or the case fell outside our organizational scope. This service ensures community members receive accurate legal information and helps prevent immigration fraud. The second level of service is Direct Legal Representation for clients meeting our program criteria. Throughout 2025, the federal government issued decisions on 29 of our active cases, while 27 other cases remained pending with the government at year-end. Additionally, our team was actively preparing applications for 11 new clients for submission, ensuring a robust pipeline of support into the next year.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2019 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 5 funders, grant income rose $31k → $47k.

3 of 5 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 97% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of Immigrant Hope WyomingIdaho’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

Immigrant Hope WyomingIdaho leans on a few funders — its largest provides 88% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

97% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund Immigrant Hope WyomingIdaho.

Largest funder’s share by year: 2019 100% · 2020 86% · 2021 89% · 2022 87% · 2023 78% — diversifying over time.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

97% of Immigrant Hope WyomingIdaho's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $9k that is directly attributable, 100% of it comes from funders outside Wyoming, across 2 states.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $321k arriving through sponsors registered in 3 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
