Programs

  1. 1. Barriers to Escape from Trafficking The paper looked at the staggering array of interconnected challenges faced by women who want to escape trafficking, such as widespread violence and physical abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness, and inability to access healthcare. The paper then examined whether those challenges are the same or similar for both trafficked women and those involved in commercial sex work and to provide some recommendations for policymakers and service providers. Our paper was published in the peer-reviewed journal Dignity: A Journal of Analysis of Exploitation and Violence in April 2024. Pending funding, we???ve received an invitation to continue researching this issue with Street Medicine Outreach.

The services are organized into 26 categories identified by victims and survivors as those they most need and include Emergency, Short, and Long-Term services such as safety and safety planning; emergency food, clothing, and shelter, medical assistance, translation services, mental health services counseling, CBT, EMDT),substance-abuse and chemical detox services; transportation, life skills coachand peer mentors; pregnancy services; parenting skills and services; family unification and assistance; childcare; employment training;/Cont Sch O

  3. Health and Human Trafficking Specialty Practice Research and Training In 2024, we focused on two main projects ??? A) A survey of pharmacy technicians focused on human trafficking trafficking issues unique to pharmacology, with an accompanying paper reporting on survey findings to equip pharmacy technicians in identifying and properly engaging with potential victims of trafficking; and B) A national survey of survivors on pregnancy and trafficking to better inform healthcare providers, policymakers, and community leaders about the nature and scope of pregnancy and related issues in human trafficking and pregnancy. In both projects, the data collection, coding, and tabulation is complete and we are drafting the papers for submission to peer reviewed journals

4 of 6 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 87% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of GLOBAL CENTURION FOUNDATION INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

GLOBAL CENTURION FOUNDATION INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 65% of grant income and the top three 93%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund GLOBAL CENTURION FOUNDATION INC.

Where its funders are

87% of GLOBAL CENTURION FOUNDATION INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $35k that is directly attributable, 71% of it comes from funders outside Virginia, across 2 states.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $240k arriving through sponsors registered in 4 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
