01What it does

What Frontline Legal Services does

Mission

Provide free legal and social services to people living with HIV/AIDS in Louisiana and Georgia.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Frontline provided significant legal, outreach, education, and advocacy services throughout Louisiana. Through Frontline's Legal Clinics at prisons and HIV/AIDS Community Organizations across the state, we have been able to provide access to health care, fight discrimination and improve the quality of life of people living with HIV in Louisiana. Frontline staff presents to groups of inmates that are within 180 days of release, as part of the Louisiana Department of Corrections ReEntry Program. Frontline then meets individually with HIV+ inmates following the presentation, accepting new cases from clients exiting the prison system, including Social Security Disability and Permanency Planning. In addition to the Legal Clinic Day, staff schedules follow up appointments with several inmates on a "Call Out" basis. Frontline opened Frontline Georgia in late 2022, and hopes to provide similar services in the Atlanta area during…

From the IRS filings of FRONTLINE LEGAL SERVICES’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

FRONTLINE LEGAL SERVICES leans on a few funders — its largest provides 71% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund FRONTLINE LEGAL SERVICES.
