Weatherization and housing: home weatherization - a program that assists low-income individuals/families lower energy costs by providing energy conservation measures to their residence, as well as ensuring they have a safe and healthy living environment. For those at or below 200% (doe) or 150% (liheap) poverty level.weatherization - cooling program - a program to provide a cooled area in the residence for low-income individuals who have a medical need or over the age of 60. Must qualify for liheap/fuel assistance program through county social services and have a documented medical need or are over age 60.weatherization - cooling & furnace repair/replacement - provides assistance to low-income households to offset the cost of repair or replacement of furnaces/hot water heaters that are not operating or are a health risk.
