Programs

Highlights included a Mariachi residency the acclaimed flute and marimba duo Duo Zuber a genre-tracing Art of the Fiddle Violin weekend and a co-produced semi-staged concert series with Creede Repertory Theatre celebrating the music of the late Stephen Sondheim.Pop-up concerts always free and often delightfully unexpected are a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Offerings ranged from traditional masterclasses to informal artist talkbacks and sharings of works-in-progress giving participants a deeper window into the creative process. Attendance has been especially strong among adults aged 50+ fulfilling a need consistently voiced in our audience feedback. Building on this success we will introduce weekly group voice classes beginning summer 2025 welcoming participants of all ages genres and abilities. We will also continue to offer artist-led sessions tailored to specific disciplines. New additions this season include instrument maintenance classes and sound bath cave yoga expanding our reach and continuing to bridge music with wellness and craft. Who funds it, year by year

2022 → 2023: the base broadened from 1 funder to 2 funders, grant income rose $15k → $20k.

1 of 4 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 28% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

How concentrated its funding is

Creede Musical Arts Collective Inc leans on a few funders — its largest provides 45% of grant income and the top three 91%; half comes from just 2 funders.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left

28% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund Creede Musical Arts Collective Inc.
