Program

  1. 1-night event titled "Taste and See" that invited sponsors to purchase sponsorship for tables, as well as, community members to purchase tickets. The event was held in a private location with heavy appetizers and wine served. Funds were received through silent auction items, 50/50 raffle, purchase of wine through a "wine wall" pull, as well as a live auction. During the live auction, a fund the need portion was also held where individuals pledged donations to the purchase of a new roof for the pantry. The funds raised were earmarked for a new roof since there were multiple areas leaking inside the building. Funds were also raised and earmarked for the repaving of the parking lot since there were multiple, large potholes that caused clients challenges with their vehicles while driving through the service line each week. Funds were also earmarked for repairs needed in the aging buildings (over 30 years old) such as floor, ceiling, and dock door repairs. Remaining funds were designated to

From the IRS filings of Alvin Manvel Community Food Pantry’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

Alvin Manvel Community Food Pantry leans on a few funders — its largest provides 100% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund Alvin Manvel Community Food Pantry.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $121 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
